Michelle D. Logan, M.A., LPC is the Founder and Clinical Director of Advocate For Youth and Family Services (AFYFS). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Norfolk State University.
Since earning her graduate degree, Michelle has dedicated her career to serving children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing mental and behavioral health challenges. She has extensive experience providing services across a variety of behavioral health settings, including residential treatment facilities, private practice, community-based programs, and correctional facilities. Her clinical expertise has been centered on supporting individuals through evidence-based, compassionate, and person-centered care.
In addition to her clinical work, Michelle is passionate about developing the next generation of behavioral health professionals. Throughout her career, she has mentored, supervised, and trained numerous clinicians, graduate interns, and undergraduate students, helping them build the knowledge, confidence, and clinical skills needed to provide quality care.
As a community advocate, Michelle continues to collaborate with local leaders, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and community organizations to improve access to behavioral health services and address the evolving needs of underserved populations. Through AFYFS, she remains committed to empowering individuals and families, strengthening communities, and promoting hope, resilience, and lasting recovery.
